About Southern New Mexico Giving Day 2026

About Southern New Mexico Giving Day 2026

The Community Foundation of Southern New Mexico (CFSNM) and Gila Community Foundation (GCF) will be hosting Southern New Mexico Giving Day, a regional day of giving designed to uplift local nonprofits and celebrate community generosity across 12 Southern New Mexico counties. This year marks the first year the two community foundations are partnering to host the event, growing the impact.

Taking place on April 24, 2026, Southern New Mexico Giving Day is a 24-hour virtual event that invites individuals, families, businesses and community groups to “give where they live” by supporting nonprofits in their communities and across the region. From education and healthcare to environmental conservation and the arts, there are countless ways for individuals to contribute to the improvement of our community. Each organization will highlight their mission, allowing donors to direct their gifts to the causes that matter most to them.

As a bonus, 115 nonprofits will receive a dollar-for-dollar match up to $500, made possible by the Community Foundation of Southern New Mexico, United Way of Southwest New Mexico, and the Gila Community Foundation.

This event is made possible by a committee of local nonprofits, including GCF, CFSNM, UWSWNM, Casa de Peregrinos, Singing Out Las Cruces, and the Las Cruces Green Chamber of Commerce. We thank all committee members for their continued support.
